Rhapsody on an Original Theme

This work is one of the only things I composed in 2022, and it is near and dear to my heart. Initially a short improv, this rhapsody was conceived in the early summer of 2022, and finalized in the fall semester. It is a standalone work in rhapsodic form with one of my favorite original melodies. It features several episodic variations on the theme which construct a larger-scale form reminiscent of a rondo or baroque Ritornllo.
